The Wall breaks free from the conventions of painting urban constellations by showing neither a scale nor a recognizable functional structure. By seeking to remove a beginning and an end, the work references anecdotal collages by the Italian radical design practice Superstudio and experimental urban cityscapes such as View of Kairouan by painter Paul Klee.
