Sectional Perspective of the Dome area and Breakfast Room looking east, 1818, Frank Copland, in pen and watercolour. This section conveys well the dual nature of Soane's house as residence and museum. On the left is the double-height and top-lit Museum, whilst the Breakfast Room, on the right, with its pendentive dome, belongs to the more domestic front part of the house. The concept of the Breakfast Room is a miniature version of Soane's great halls at the Bank of England.
