At this immersive event, visit this spectacular Museum after dark, as the spaces transform into an imaginative version of the ancient afterlife.
Delve into the Crypt to experience the Underworld through spectacular spotlighting and soundscapes. Navigate the labyrinthine, candlelit passageways of the Museum, discovering two-thousand-year-old artworks and join our expert guides for object talks and readings of the classical epics. After your Odyssey through the Museum, ascend to Elysium - Sir John’s Drawing Room - where a bar will be serving themed drinks as offerings to the Gods.
The ancient world fascinated collector and architect Sir John Soane, who crammed his house-museum with an extraordinary collection of ancient artefacts. This event presents the rare opportunity to take photographs after dark in the Museum – we’ll be running a competition, so tag your photography with #SoaneLates to get the chance to feature on our own Instagram for a chance to win a limited edition goodie bag.

There are two price options for this event - one for those aged under 25 and one for everybody else. Please select the correct option when choosing your time slot.
Please note that ID will be required on arrival. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
Each slot lasts around 90 minutes.
Your confirmation email serves as your ticket. Tickets are refundable up to 7 days before the event, after which point they are non-refundable or exchangeable.
This event is organised by the Soane Youth Panel, a group of young people aged 15–24 who help the Museum shape the activities, events and opportunities it offers.
