Join us after dark for this Soane Late as we delve deeper into the architectural history and design of this unique Museum, house, and studio. The whole Museum is yours to explore as you wander corridors lined by Sir John Soane’s architectural drawings, sculptures, paintings, and treasures.
With a drink in hand, join a series of spotlight talks throughout the evening including a Curatorial introduction to our latest exhibition Neighbours in Space and Time: Grafton Architects at the Soane Museum, followed by an 'after hours' viewing of the exhibition itself.
The exhibition explores the relationship between the Soane Museum and its newest neighbour, The Marshall Building for the London School of Economics and Political Science, located at number 44 Lincoln Inn Fields. By pairing never-before-seen drawings from award winning firm Grafton Architects, which shed light on the Marshall Building’s design and construction process, with specially selected drawings from Sir John Soane’s archive, the exhibition bridges both space and time by highlighting common architectural values, materials and techniques.
