D/ deaf and hard of hearing visitors can experience Sir John Soane's Museum on a specially-designed British Sign Language tour.
Join Deaf BSL-using guide Edward Richards for a very special after hours tour, which will give insight into the life of a Regency household both upstairs and downstairs. Learn about the family history, the below stairs relationships of the servants and the workings of the household.
The tour explores the kitchens, dining rooms and drawing rooms of the Museum before accessing Soane's private apartments. These seven rooms were at the heart of Soane's domestic life and include his bedroom and bath room. Now fully restored, they were hidden from view for 160 years before completion in 2015.
