The Antiquities of Athens, Vol. I, James Stuart and Nicholas Revett, 1830. Plate XIX of Chapter 4 of this publication is an engraving of sculpture copied from the frieze of the Choragic Monument of Lysicrates, which tells the myth of the capture of Dionysus (Bacchus) by Tyrrhenian pirates; they failed to realise that they had captured a god and were turned into dolphins. The image depicts this metamorphasis.
