The Architecture Drawing Prize 2023: Hand-Drawn Winner
This work draws from the history of traditional Chinese painting. Travellers among Mountains and Streams, a large hanging scroll, was originally drawn by Fan Kuan in the Northern Song dynasty. Ye’s drawing offers a contemporary translation of this masterpiece. Its long composition offers a visual depiction of the spatial hierarchy of plants and skyscrapers, whilst also appearing to portray a slice of a mountain range.
